Shaw Spartans can confirm the signing of Former Zimbabwe International Batsman Cephas Zhuwao.
Commonly known as "Big Bully" has played white ball cricket for Zimbabwe (1 ODI and 3 T20s) alongside 117 domestic matches, most recently for the Mashonaland Eagles.
The 31 year old is familiar to British shores as he has had spells with Thames Valley Club side Eversley and last summer in the Devon Cricket league . It was last season where in just 15 innings he scored 779 runs at an average of 59.82. He also took 27 poles in his time with Budleigh Salterton.
Cephas made his name in the UK with his incredible innings against the Lashings World XI, where he struck 10 towering maximums (many off Saqlain Mustaq) en-route to a 40-ball 80 culminated with selection for Lashings throughout the rest of the summer.
He didn't disappoint, belting some incredible innings for the World XI, including a breath-taking 36-ball 119* that included 14 sixes.

Shaw CC Moves to the Pennines
With this weekend's games against Droylsden, Shaw CC says goodbye to the Saddleworth and District Cricket League. Earlier the season, the decision was made to combine the Saddleworth League and the Central Lancashire League to form the Pennine League and the Greater Manchester League. Shaw have taken the decision to enter the Pennine League, which will mean more local games and reunions with old rivals.
Shaw's final season in the Saddleworth League has been fairly successful, with a good Twenty20 cup run. Unfortunately, a loss on finals day against Moorside saw us bow out in the semi-final.
