Shaw Start 2014 Season With Victory
With the new season under way, Shaw's senior teams both chalked up their first wins against South West Manchester. The 1st XI showed great resilience, coming back from 30-5 to post 234, the highest total of the weekend. The result was never in doubt as our bowling attack tore through the SWM batting order, bowling them out for a win of more than 100 runs and taking all the points. On the other side of the city our 2nd team bowled brilliantly to dismiss SWM for only 70 runs, knocking them off with only 2 wickets falling.
With four double-weekends approaching, Shaw have given themselves a solid platform for the coming weeks and will give themselves a fantastic chance of a strong position if the current form is continued.
